XYZHave you ever wished you could record shows on free linear streaming channels for later viewing? Sling TV now provides 10 hours of free cloud DVR storage on its free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) service, Sling Freestream, allowing users to DVR popular shows like The Walking Dead, Love After Lockup, South Park, and many more.

Launched in February 2023 as a competitor to other FAST service like Pluto TV and The Roku Channel, Sling Freestream has more than 500 channels, including popular channels like ESPN On Demand, Comedy Central, LiveNOW, and Architectural Digest. In addition to many other news, sports, and entertainment channels, Sling Freestream carries 110 international channels in more than 15 languages.

Sling Freestream is free through the SLING app on Roku and other devices. No account is required to watch Freestream, but the cloud DVR service is available only to those account holders. A Sling Freestream account, which is free and does not required a credit card, also enables viewers to add programs to their watchlist and save their favorite channels.

Cloud DVR storage is available immediately to all new users who create a free account on Sling Freestream. Sling reports that the DVR services will be fully rolled out to all existing Freestream users over the next several months.
