Jon Krakauer's national bestseller Into the Wild
told the story of Chris McCandless who, after graduating from college, hitchhiked to Alaska and walked alone into the wilderness north of Mt. McKinley, disappearing into the wild. Using McCandless' own letters, released for the first time, as well as new and surprising interviews, Return to the Wild probes the mystery of how this young hiker died in the Alaskan wilderness.
