SORRY - Donkey Kong Remake for Roku is no longer available.
Channel Description: That classic and iconic arcade game Donkey Kong is now available on Roku. The game appears to be identical to the original 1981 classic featuring Mario, the damsel in distress Pauline, and of course the infamous Donkey Kong. In addition to the traditional US version of the game you can also play in Japan Arcade game mode. One other added feature is the ability to start out with up to 6 lives.
The controls may take a little getting used to as you use your Roku remote to play the game, but a standard remote works just fine - no need to have the enhanced gaming remote. The channel provides a diagram of what the different buttons on your remote will do. You can use your remote in either the horizontal or vertical position, and a record of high scores is maintained on the game.
