NFL Now can now be found on the NFL channel.
Quick Look: With the Pre-Season upon us, the NFL (National Football League) has launched their newest project - NFL Now. Before you get too excited this is NOT a live broadcast, but "a series of video highlights of games, press conferences, and videos produced by NFL Films, the 32 NFL teams, NFL.com and the NFL Network cable channel."
The channel will start out with over 350 hours of archived material including team highlights and 30 hours of past Super Bowl footage from 1967-2009. Additional material is promised to be added on a regular basis.
The NFL also plans to add a premium tier, NFL Now Plus, for $1.99 per month. In addition to being ad-free, NFL Now Plus is said to offer "near-instant in-game highlights and NFL Films' entire vault of historical footage, shows and documentaries."
To access content after installing this channel you will need after allowing the channel access to some personal information from your Roku account, such as name and e-mail address, you will have to provide a screen name, password, and your date of birth. Agree to the terms of service, pick your favorite team, and you are ready to watch some Football.
The first option is My Channel, which is a compilation of videos from your favorite team you selected in the registration process. You also get a random assortment of videos that highlight other happenings in the league.
The second option is the called Series, but better described as the "VIDEO VAULT". This is a massive collection of NFL Archives where you will find past episodes of NFL original content and programming. Look for titles like HardKnocks, NFL Films Presents, Superbowl Highlights, The Best of Sound FX, The Top-100 Greatest Players, A Football Life, NFL Top 10, America's Game, In Their Own Words, and NFL's Greatest Games. Each of these selections is packed with some of the greatest moments in NFL history.
Most Popular is a collection of videos that the NFL fans have found most interesting. The content is due to change on a regular basis due to the relativity of the video.
Highlights brings you on demand team footage. You can select the team you want to watch from the first week of Preseason to the final game. The content is uploaded on a regular basis.
The last option is Settings which lets you update your current library of favorite teams.
