Quick Look: Classic Brick Breaker is an updated version of the classic video game Breakout that was developed in 1976 by Atari. The premise for this Roku game is the same, with a few modifications.
The game starts out with multiple layers of colored bricks that are worth various amounts of points. As in Breakout, the object is to knock out all of the bricks using a sliding paddle and a bouncing ball. The paddle is controlled with the left and right directional arrows on your remote. Letting the ball hit the ground results in the loss of a life. Classic Brick Breaker has 20 levels of game play and several enhancements hidden among the blocks that will give you special abilities for a limited time. Some of these abilities include a larger paddle or a smaller paddle and a "fire" ball that burns through the blocks and does not immediately rebound back. As you progress, the levels become more difficult, but the number of lives per level remains at three.
