Cake Puzzle is a merge-sorting game in which you move plates of cake slices onto the playing field so that the slices on the plate that is "in play" move onto adjacent plates with matching slices. When all of the slices move off of a plate, the plate disappears to make room for a new plate. Only the in-play plates at the bottom of the screen can be moved - once a plate is put on the board and you press the OK button, it cannot be moved to a different spot on the board. Players start with 50 coins, which can be used for in purchases like different avatars, and coins are added as you fill plates with matching slices to remove them from the board. Additional coins are awarded every day, and you can purchase coins in-app - prices range from $4.99 for 200 coins up to $99.99 for 10,000 coins. The game also gives you an option to gain free coins by watching ads (whenever we tried that we were shown an error that the ad was not available, but this may be a temporary glitch that gets fixed).
Although the game is very simple in the beginning, it does take a bit of strategy as you progress and the board starts filling up with partial plates of cake slices and it becomes more difficult to match slices.
