2016 Summer Olympics on RokuAs previously reported, Sling Blue provides streaming access to coverage of 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio on NBC Sports Network, Bravo, USA Network, CNBC and MSNBC (the last two being free available as free previews during the Olympics). Sling Blue subscribers in select markets can also watch the local NBC broadcast. The Golf Channel is available to Sling Blue customers who subscribe to the Sports Extra add-on pack, and Sling Blue subscribers with the Best of Spanish TV package can watch Spanish coverage on NBC Universo.

If you're having difficulty keeping up with which sports are on which networks, Sling Blue makes it easy to find current and upcoming events being broadcast across all of the Sling Blue channels. After launching the Sling TV channel, select "Sports" from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Scroll down to 2016 Rio Olympics and you will find a listing of current and upcoming competitions.

Due to space constraints, some of the listings show only a partial list events and you will need to select the item to see the full description. For example, a recent listing showed "Beach Volleyball, ..." on the overview screen, but selecting that item revealed that coverage also included fencing and archery. Some broadcasts jump around between events, so the Sling Blue listings show all events for a 3-hour window as in the example above. In other cases, a single sport is represented - for instance, Men's Basketball: Serbia vs. France is identified as a specific event broadcast for a full 2-hour period.

When browsing upcoming events, select an event you want to watch later and press the "OK" button on your Roku remote to select the "Favorites" button (represented by the heart icon). This will create a shortcut to the event under the Favorites category under the My TV menu listing (which is also the opening screen when you launch Sling TV).

If you aren't a Sling TV subscriber, you can watch a full week of Olympics coverage by clicking here for a 7-day free Sling TV trial. If you're a Sling Orange subscriber, you can upgrade to Sling Blue by sigining into your account at sling.com/signin and selecting the "Change Subscription" option.
