There are 113 new channel and app listings in the Roku channel store this week. Here are a few suggestions on what to watch.
For those already getting into the Halloween spirit, Vireon Horror has a small collection of horror films that include The Thing, a 1982 science fiction horror film directed by John Carpenter; and Hellraiser, a 1987 British production about a family that moves into an ancestral home and is terrorized by the resurrected corpse of an uncle who requires the flesh of innocent victims to stay alive.
If anime is more your thing, Anime World (subscription required) has a library of movies that include "Sasayaku You ni Koi wo Utau (Whisper Me a Love Song," "Blue Lock vs. U-20 Japan," and "Isekai Shikkaku (No Longer Allowed in Another World)."
There are several solitaire games on Roku, with the latest being Spider Solitaire. This version offers a different game than the more-popular Klondike game. Spider solitaire starts with ten piles of five cards each, with a goal of assembling 13 cards of a suit, in ascending sequence from ace through king, on top of a pile.
Matching, a 20-card version of Concentration is another card game added to Roku this week. Ten pairs of cards are laid face down and the play has to turn over two cards at a time to try to match the pairs.
