Apple Music now available on RokuApple Music became available in the Roku channel store this week, offering subscribers unlimited ad-free access to more than 90 million songs and 30,000 playlists, along with live radio stations, music videos, and radio shows. Apple Music is a late-comer to Roku, joining Pandora, Spotify, Amazon Music, and SiriusXM, which have long had a presence on the popular media streaming device.

Although Apple Music may be late in arriving on the Roku platform, the app is intuitive and easy to navigate. Current Apple Music subscribers will find it to be very similar to Apple Music apps on other devices, with personalized recommendations, karaoke-style time-synced lyrics (in case you're compelled to sing along), and ability to search all of Apple Music or just your own library by artist, title, or lyrics. The app excels at offering options for individual tracks - when listening to any song, you can add it to or delete it from your library, jump to the track's artist or source album for similar music, add it to a playlist, or even create a music station based on that song.

Apple Music offers one month free for new customers, and is then $9.99 per month for most subscribers. Additional plans for students are also available and can be found at www.apple.com/apple-music
