New Roku Streaming Devices for 2016Roku unveiled five new streaming devices today, replacing the current Rokus 1 through 4 with the Roku Express, Roku Express+, Roku Premiere, Roku Premiere+ and Roku Ultra. The only previously-available Roku remaining in the product line is the Roku Streaming Stick. The devices range in price from $30 for the basic bare-bones Express model, up to $130 for the premium-level Ultra with quad-core processor, Ethernet and USB ports, microSD expansion slot, optical audio output, and the ultimate point-anywhere remote with voice search, headphone jack, gaming buttons and lost remote finder.

YouTube updates Roku channelYouTube recently updated its Roku channel, providing easier access to the most popular video categories. Categories used to be hidden in the left-hand menu, but they are now displayed at the top of the YouTube home screen, immediately below the search bar. Top-level categories include Recommended, Trending, Music, Comedy, Entertainment, News, Sports, Technology, Live, Gaming, Family, Food, and Beauty.

NBC On Demand on Sling TVSling TV has updated its lineup again. Sling Blue customers now have access to NBC On Demand at no extra cost. NBC On Demand lets subscribers watch many popular NBC shows after they have aired on broadcast television. Currently available shows include episodes of "America's Got Talent," "American Ninja Warrior," "Better Late Than Never," "Dateline," "Hollywood Game Night," "Meet the Press," "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," and "The Voice."

PBS Passport provides access to extended video library on Roku's PBS channelIf Downton Abbey episodes disappeared from the PBS Roku channel too quickly, or you want more episodes of Antiques Roadshow, Nature, or NOVA than currently available, a small donation to your local PBS station may give you access to these shows and much more.
