The Warhol: TV

The Warhol: TV comes from The Andy Warhol Museum, which houses over 400 Warhol films and the entire Andy Warhol video collection of over 2500 videotapes, including "all episodes and outtakes of his television series Fashion, Andy Warhol's T.V., and Andy Warhol's Fifteen Minutes, the soap operas Vivian's Girls, Phoney, and Fight, and the large body of work known as Factory Diaries."[1] The Warhol: TV features a selection of these Warhol originals that includes music videos, screen tests, and interviews. Videos can be found in the following categories (italicized descriptions courtesy of Warhol: TV).

  • Capturing Creativity - A collaborative series by The Andy Warhol Museum and NO MORE RULERS, which delves into the creative process and documentation practices of the foremost creatives of our time in art, music, fashion, and design. Five videos, each under 10 minutes, featuring The Magnetic Fields, Keiyaa Waxahatchee, Hiss Golden Messenger, and Adam Green.
  • Silver Studio Sessions - Features a variety of internationally touring, independent artists and bands... The sessions often take place in a 6th floor gallery space designed to evoke Warhol's studio, the Silver Factory. One trailer and three half-hour videos where Marilyn Minter, A$AP Ferg, and Future discuss art, culture, and their creative process.
  • Screen Tests - Between 1964 and 1966, Warhol created almost 500 Screen Tests. The Screen Tests subjects range from the famous to anonymous visitors to his studio, the Silver Factory. 14 videos of various screen test subjects, each under 5 minutes in length.
