Traffic Racer

Quick Look: Traffic Racer is a simple arcade game for children in which you move your car from lane to lane to avoid hitting vehicles and barriers in front of you. Game play is very easy - use the up and down directional arrows on your Roku remote to change lanes, and use the left and right arrows to speed up or slow down. You'll want to use speed control only to avoid hitting anything; you can increase speed only until your at the right side of the screen, at which point you'll have no way of seeing what's in front of you.

You can play in arcade mode, where you progress through 100 levels, or use continuous play mode. For arcade mode, each level allows you to hit a maximum of ten vehicles or obstacles before play ends. If that happens (and it's very hard for that to happen unless you fall asleep, which is a distinct possibility), you have the option to save your car for a certain number of "coins" and start the level over. If you don't spend the coins to save your game, or if you run out of coins, it seems that you lose the ability to ever play this game again unless you "purchase" the full edition of Traffic Racer. "Purchasing" doesn't cost you anything except your privacy - follow the purchase prompts and you'll agree to share your name, address, email address and phone number (as contained in your Roku account) with the game developer.
