Quick Look: TheRugbyChannel.tv is a subscription-based online service offering exclusive live and on-demand coverage of top-tier domestic and international rugby matches. Coverage is available through web browsers and on Roku through The Rugby Channel.
The Rugby Channel offers two tiers of viewing options, Free and Premium. TheRugbyChannel.tv's website promises "highlights of global matches, news bulletins, interviews and short features... along with fixtures and live scores from competitions around the world." What we found was a rather limited library of Club Rugby games and Rugby channel reports. This is new service, though, so more content may be coming.
The Premium version offers a much wider range of content including international matches, player interviews, game highlights and various news stories from around the league. Subscribers have access to World Rugby TV, a weekly newsmagazine show, and match archives from USA Rugby, the England Rugby Football Union, and the Rugby World Cup.
You can view the entire library of both premium and basic memberships before you subscribe. Visiting the website will provide additional information, including schedules of upcoming games, the latest news stories, and recent game scores. The Rugby Channel is currently offering a special introductory rate of $4.99 per month, or an annual subscription for $49.99. All subscription offers include a free 30-day trial to start.
