TED

TED Talks are videos from speakers on education, business, science, tech and creativity. The talks are given at conferences held by the media organization TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) Conferences LLC, which was founded in 1984 and has held annual conferences since 1990.

The TED Roku channel currently claims a library of more than 1700 talks. If you feel overwhelmed by that number, the channel will provide a video if you pick from one of a half-dozen selections: Jaw-dropping, Funny, Persuasive, Courageious, Inspiring, or Random. You can also browse "Trending" videos, or select from over 100 playlists that are based on topic (examples: Ocean wonders, A better you, The pursuit of justice) or created by a celebrity or other personality (examples: Angela Duckworth - 4 talks on human behavior, Ken Robinson - 10 talks on education, Bono - 8 talks that give me hope).

If you have a specific topic or talk in mind, the channel has a search function that can be access using the * button on your remote. You can also link your Roku to a free TED account, and any talks saved on the website will be accessible through the "My Talks" category in the Roku channel - just press that * button, select the option log in, and follow the instructions.
