Taste of Home, which bills itself as "America's #1 cooking magazine," brings their recipes to Roku with this home cooking channel. From the same publisher as Reader's Digest and Family Handyman, Taste of Home offers short instructional videos showing how to prepare dishes in the following categories:
- Breakfast & Brunch
- Lunch
- Dinner
- Desserts
- Beverages
You can also browse by style of food preparation, ash as Air Fryer, Baking, and BBQ. In addition to the tutorials you will also find short "How To" videos which include the proper way to cook corn, make hard boiled eggs, fry bacon and clean an instant pot. You will also find a collection of product reviews, tips, tricks and food biz secrets.
The recipe videos we previewed did not provide any narration or ingredient quantities, and the only instructions were oven temperature and baking time. Instead, you'll see an overhead view of the item being prepared along with the name of each ingredient being added, as in the video below. However, if you find something you want to make yourself, search for the video on YouTube where you'll also find a link to the full recipe with quantities and detailed instructions.
Unfortunately, every video is preceded by two commercials. With many videos being under 2 minutes in length, you may soon find the commercial to content ratio to be unbearable.
