Your Independent TV Streamer Guide

Quick Look: Philo is a budget streaming TV service with just one plan that includes 63 channels for $20 per month. Epix and STARZ are available as add-ons. You won't find any sports channels here - just entertainment and news, including Food Network, DIY, Science, Discovery, Lifetime, and many other popular cable networks. for a current list of all available channels.

Philo includes the following features at no additional cost:

  • - Watch TV on up to three different devices at the same time
  • - Unlimited 30-day DVR
  • - Extensive on-demand library
  • - Pause live TV or start from the beginning
  • - Watch programs that have aired in the past three days
  • - Create up to 10 profiles per account

The service includes a 30-day cloud DVR with unlimited storage, but DVR functionality is limited. For TV series, you can only select to record all episodes - you cannot record single episodes or specify only new episodes. With unlimited storage, though, this shouldn't be problem, other than to clutter up your listing of saved shows.

You can stream Philo on up to three different devices at one time. Currently, Philo is available on Roku devices and TVS, iPhone & iPad, Android phones & tablets, Android TV, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast via Android, and on Web browsers.
