Mockumentary Movies has a nice collection of horror and supernatural/paranormal films, but little in the way of actual mockumentaries, defined as "a movie or television show depicting fictional events but presented as a documentary." Mockumentary examples include The Office, Modern Family, This Is Spinal Tap, and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.[1]
What the Mockumentary Movies Roku app does carry is films in categories such as Paranormal Horror, Ghosts, Vampires, and Cannibal Horror. To be fair, many of the titles are "found footage" productions, which could fall under the mockumentary genre.
Movies are a mix of free with ads, subscription-only, and rental (see Fees section below). Recently-added free titles include Devil's Farm (2012), in which Paul and four of his friends head out to Ash Farm on a weekend camping trip to film a small documentary on the stories of David Sullivan the devil worshiping farmer who slaughtered his family back in 1980 then disappeared without a trace; Don’t You Recognize Me? (2016), about a director who puts out social network feelers to produce a 'Day in the Life' documentary, but it turns out that the filmmaker did something very bad in his first outing as a director, and now he is about to pay; and At Stake: Vampire Solutions (2011), where film student Evan Shandling embeds with a vampire removal company to document their battles with bloodsuckers.
