Quick Look: MagellanTV Documentaries is a subscription-based streaming service with over 1,000 documentaries from filmmakers and documentary networks around the world, with new titles promised every week. Over a dozen genres are available, including Biography, Space, Science and Tech, Mind and Body, Earth, Nature Ancient History, Culture, and Crime and Mystery. According to the MagellanTV website, "you’ll find documentary collections that are deeper and broader than just about any other streaming service available. Our greatest strengths lie in the areas of History and Science, with extensive collections in the areas of war, ancient history, current history, culture, and the roots of the modern world."

A subscription allows unlimited streaming on multiple devices. In addition to Roku, MagellanTV is currently available or is coming soon to Amazon Fire TV and Android and iOS devices. No free content is available on the Roku channel, but you can browse the entire video library before subscribing and without creating an account.
