Indiewire Video

Quick Look: Indiewire describes itself as a "news, information, and networking site for independent-minded filmmakers, the industry and moviegoers alike." Their Indiewire Video channel brings some of the Indiewire online videos to Roku. The channel is comprised of the following content:

  • Just in Time for Toronto - Last Year's Best TIFF Talks- interviews from the Toronto international Film Festival
  • Know Your Auteur - Features Andrei Tarkovsky, Seijun Suzuki, Jonathan Glazer, Jean-Pierre Melville and Milos Forman
  • Hitchcockian Nightmares - 5 Vintage movies including Murder!, Charade, and The Lady Vanishes
  • Most Popular Trailers - Trailers for recently released movies including The Witch, Youth, and The Martian

The channel requests that you link your Roku by logging in with your Facebook account. It is not necessary to do this in order to view the content, but creating a free account and linking your Roku player to it will let you add videos to your queue and track what you've watched. The login wasn't working properly when we tested the channel. After logging in with your Facebook account at video.indiewire.com/user, you may need to return that same website to enter the code on the linking code from the Roku channel.
