Hollywood Heaven - Free Movies

Quick Look: Hollywood Heaven - Free Movies provides a linear TV viewing experience for those who have a hard time selecting a video from a VOD channel, while offering the convenience of skipping films you don't want to watch.

We aren't excited about the proliferation of vintage public domain channels on Roku, but this one comes from Timeless Television, a Roku developer that has been creating channels high-quality linear content for quite some time, so we thought Hollywood Heaven - Free Movies would be worth checking out. We found that Hollywood Heaven - Free Movies has a curated playlist, while allowing the ability to skip any titles that you don't want to watch.

When we launched this channel, it started with A Walk in the Sun (1945). The "up" button on your remote will jump to the next movie - in our case, A Study in Scarlet (1933), which was followed by A Star is Born (1937) and A Bride for Henry (1937). The playlist seems to be fixed, not randomly selected, as we got the same films in the same order on multiple Roku devices.

If you have to leave a film midstream, it will pick up where you left off as long as you return to the same Roku device. Don't worry about skipping a title; if you want to come back to it at a later time, the "down" button on your remote will bring up the search function, allowing you to watch a title from earlier in the playlist if you remember the film's name.
