Quick Look: FilmRise Cinematheque is a collection of Indie films that span the globe. Most of these films would not be considered mainstream by modern day standards, but a few of them definitely made their mark in the film industry. Most, if not all, premiered at an international film festival and soon gained notoriety. There are a number of notable movies like The Endless Summer, Bruce Brown's epic surf movie from 1966; classics like Marlon Brando's One Eyed Jacks (1961) and Phillip Seymour Hoffman's debut film Triple Bogey on a Par Five Hole (1991); and documentaries like Heidi Fleiss: Hollywood Madam.
The films are grouped by genre with a library that boasts about 150 movies. The movies are ad-sponsored and run in their entirety in in their original format.
