As of November 2017, earthTV was not operational, even though the channel remained in the Roku Channel Store. The channel plays a commercial and then displays a home screen with menu categories but no content. The earthTV website (see link below) is still operational.
Quick Look: earthTV offers two viewing options. The first option is "Best of earthTV," which lets you select from "Best Skylines" and "Motion Timelapse." Each selection streams continuous 30-second videos from select locations. The other option is "Live views from cities around the world." Although billed as "live views," they are actually time-delayed, as the time-stamps on the videos do not match the current time of day. Some of the videos are obviously time-lapse videos, not current real-time views. Despite these disclaimers, the videos are certainly interesting to watch, but be warned that some videos can take a very long time to load or may not load at all.
