Quick Look: Bounce is an African-American broadcast network with mix of programming that includes original series, motion pictures, specials, and off-network series. The network is available on local television stations, both over the air and on cable. On Roku, the Bounce - On Demand channel features free access to episode of ten TV series that include the following (all show descriptions are courtesy of Bounce TV):
- Family Time - This show follows the lives of the Stallworth family who relocated to the suburbs after hitting the lottery. High school sweethearts Tony (Omar Gooding) and Lisa (Angell Conwell) lovingly quarrel with each other and their mischievous children, Devin and Ebony, as they make up their own rules for love, marriage and family along the way.
- Mann & Wife - A Bounce original comedy series starring real-life couple David and Tamela Mann as the recently married Daniel and Toni. Together with their four children, the Manns muddle through the tricky and often hilarious situations that arise when separate families are blended together and have to learn to navigate a new life under one roof.
- The Newlywed Game - Hosted by comedienne Sherri Shepherd, this new version is as wild and hilarious as the one you remember – but with a decidedly sassy and contemporary flavor.
- My Crazy Roommate - The story of two very different young women, Brooke and Chloe, who are forced to live together while on a crusade to find fame and fortune in Hollywood.
In addition, four free movies are currently available: Wrong Turn at Tahoe (2009), Blue Chips (1994), Twisted (2004), and Uptight (1968). The channel also lists several selections under "Premium TV and Movies" that redirect you to the Brown Sugar Roku channel, which requires a subscription to watch.
The Bounce Roku channel doesn't provide a live feed of the TV broadcast - you'll need to watch that on a local station - but it does provide a programming schedule and a "Find Us" tool that lets you enter your city or zip code to see whether Bounce is available OTA or on cable in your area.
