Around The World in 80 Screams

Quick Look: Around The World in 80 Screams is basically just another channel with a library of vintage public domain and more-recent B-grade horror movies. The twist on this one is that the movies are "hosted" by a variety of "Horror Hosts" with new movies added on what appears to be a daily basis between August 13 and Halloween. Films so far include The Mummy (1932), Contamination (1980), and House on Haunted Hill (1959).

As for the Horror Hosts, these are mostly cheesy amateur productions with people in goth costumes and horror house decorations talking about the upcoming films. Hosts featured to date include Ms. Misery, The Phil and Erik Show, The Schlocky Horror Picture Show and the Bordello of Horror. If you're expecting anything like the hosted movies on Turner Classic Movies, you won't find it here.

In addition to the movies currently being added, the Roku Channel Store description promises that "the last three days leading to Halloween will involve exclusive content, interviews and more. There will also be a streaming event of an online Film Festival, 80 Screams International Film Festival."

-- Information is current as of August 24, 2018
