Showtime Comes to Roku - No Cable Subscription Required

Showtime has launched a standalone streaming service on the Roku streaming platform and on Apple devices. The service allows you to watch every season of Showtime's original series with commercial-free, unlimited access to new and classic shows like Homeland, Ray Donovan, Masters of Sex, The Affair, Dexter, and Weeds. You'll also find the latest hit movies, documentaries, and sports programming, and will have access to the live broadcasts of both the East Coast and the West Coast feeds.

Showtime is available as a standalone Roku channel for $10.99 per month, but a 30-day free trial is currently being offered. Just add the channel to your Roku (you won't be charged), launch it, then select the option to "Start Your 30-day Free Trial" on the splash screen. After 30 days your credit card or PayPal account will be billed by Roku. If you don't want to continue past the free trial period, just cancel through your Roku or on the My Subscriptions page on the Roku website.

Showtime's $10.99 monthly cost is less than the $15 per month charged for the HBO add-on to Sling TV and for HBO Now on Apple TV. If you're a Hulu subscriber, though, you can get Showtime for only $8.99 per month as a Hulu add-on. For that deal, you will need to subscribe at www.hulu.com/start/showtime.

The Showtime Anytime channel will continue to be available For those of you who keep their Showtime subscription through a participating cable or satellite TV provider.
