Two games, Tag and Geometry, played on your Roku with a free Android app

Add Channel

RokuGuide Channel Description: Neon Party Games offers six different arcade-style games that are played by using your Android or iOS smart phone or tablet instead of the Roku game remote. Two of the games, Tag and Cell, require at least two players, and there is no limit to how many can play - but each player must have his or her own mobile device with the app loaded. The other four games are Geometry, Puck, Squared, and Sumo, and they can be played alone or with other players.

To play, you will need to install a free app on your mobile device. Go to lrd.to/neonparty, which is a short link to to the Neon Party Games Controller app in the Google Play or Apple app store depending on the type of device you are using. Once the app is installed and you've launched the game on your Roku, open the app and select your Roku. (Note that your mobile device and your Roku must be on the same home network.) You can also change the face and color of your character and add your name, which will be shown below your avatar in the game.

Operation of the controller is very simple - you simply move your thumb within a defined area on your mobile device to move your avatar. Game sounds will play through your mobile device.

Both the app and the game are free, but you'll see video ads interspersed between games. You can play without ads for a one-time $1.99 fee by pressing the play/pause button on your Roku remote and purchasing the game through the Roku channel store.
More information on the games can be found on the app's Roku Forum topic, where you can also post feedback for the developer.
