Channel Description: Area 53, which carries the tagline The galactic quest to cash in on Star Wars!, offers several B-grade science fiction movies from the late 70s and early 80s that attempted to do just that. Here are some of the movies you'll find:
- Starcrash (1978) - An outlaw smuggler and her alien companion are recruited by the Emperor of the Galaxy to rescue his son and destroy a secret weapon by the evil Count Zarth Arn.
- Star Odyssey (1979) - Earth is attacked by an intergalactic villain and his army of robotic androids.
- Battle Beyond the Stars (1980) - A young farmer sets out to recruit mercenaries to defend his peaceful planet, which is under threat of invasion by the evil tyrant Sador and his armada of aggressors.
There are seven films in all, plus three episodes Jason of Star Command, a TV series in which "a young Space Command officer fights the evil space lord Dragos and his minions in his jurisdiction of the universe."
