Quick Look: LocalNow provides viewers with real-time local weather, traffic, news, and sports scores. While we reviewed the channel, it was showing video from The Weather Channel while local weather displayed at the bottom of the screen.
To get started you will need to enter your zip-code so the channel can access information for your location. A free trial (the channel has conflicting information - it's either 7 days or 30 days free, depending on which part of the channel you read) is automatically activated. To continue using the channel beyond the free trial, you will need to authenticate the channel; this means that you need to subscribe to a participating cable or satellite TV provider. Participating providers are listed at activate.localnow.com after you select your device (Roku or Apple TV).
