New Roku Channels - February 3, 2012Three new channels were launched in the Roku Channel Store, bringing MIT lectures, religious sermons, and Arab programming to the Roku. NEW - I've added "RokuGuide Quick Looks" to these channel descriptions. A Quick Look is my first impression of a channel and a short summary of what's available. It's shorter than a full RokuGuide Review, but provides more information than the short channel descriptions offered by the channel developers. Huffington Post RokuBloomberg Businessweek reported today that The Huffington Post plans to create live online programming that will be delivered through various venues including the Roku digital video player.

iggy.tv With over 400 public channels on the Roku, and an uncounted number of private channels, I try to limit my reviews to those channels that stand out above the rest and deserve to be seen. However, occasionally other channels cry out to be commented on, if only to ask "Why?" iggy.tv is one of those channels.

Ocean Network Ocean Network is for those who love the sea, whether surfing on top of it or diving beneath it. Originally broadcasting on a Hawaiian cable network for five years, the Ocean Network recently launched a private channel on Roku. Ocean Network appears to have been airing some unique and interesting TV series. Unfortunately, only two of those series, plus an additional series, have made the leap from cable to Roku.
