Ludo Roll by HappyKids

Ludo Roll by HappyKids is a two-player version of Ludo, a children's board game. (Although the board used in this Roku version of the game is the standard four-player board, the game is set up for only two players, both using the same remote control. Also, there are only two pieces per player, although the original game uses four pieces.) Full Ludo instructions can be found here, but a summary is provided below:

  • Each player takes turn rolling the dice, but a piece cannot be moved out of the starting circle until a 6 is rolled, at which time one of the player's two pieces is moved onto the first square.
  • After a piece is moved out of the starting circle, it is moved the number of squares rolled by the dice.
  • A player gets another throw if 6 is thrown.
  • When a piece has circumnavigated the board, it proceeds up the home column, but a piece can only be moved onto the home triangle by an exact throw.
  • The first person to move both pieces into the home triangle wins.
