Quick Look: Backgammon! on Roku is played just the same as it is with the traditional board, with the object being to move all your checkers into your own home board and then be the first player to bear them off.
The channel opens up with 3 options: Play, Instructions and Achievements. If you are familiar with the rules and strategy of the game, skip directly to play or check out all of your achievements, which are earned during game play. If you're new to the game, the instructions tab offers a very thorough walkthrough of the game, from who goes first to how to remove your checkers and everything in between.
The play option allows 1 or 2 players so you can play against a real or virtual opponent. To move a checkers use the arrow keys on your Remote to highlight the checker, then press OK to select it. The game will show you where your checker will be moved to. Rolls of the dice are automatic for your opponent, but the OK button will roll the dice for you.
