Four new channels were launched in the Roku Channel Store today, bringing religious programming, bowhunting information, family friendly videos, and money making instruction to the Roku. Click on the links below for more details on each channel.
Bridges TV offers live-streaming shows from international as well as American sources, offering an eclectic mix of shows that includes Arabian documentaries, examinations of world religions, and The Three Stooges. It's all free, but you'll have to give up personal information, including your telephone number, to get more than a two minute preview.
Vanguard Cinema offers several dozen films from independent producers in the romance, action & thriller, comedy, drama, horror, sci-fi & fantasy, and documentary genres. And they are all free.

Nowhere TV is a free private channel that brings together audio and video podcasts from a wide variety of sources. The iTunes Podcasts channel has a much larger library of podcasts, but Nowhere TV has winnowed down the number of podcasts to those that are particularly useful, popular, or entertaining.

By Roku standards, the "50 Speeches" channel is ancient, having been launched back in September of 2010. I never paid much attention to it until today, but when I launched it I found that it offers a terrific collection of historical speeches, most of which I have never seen or heard in their entirety.
Food Network fans will find several good channels in the food category on Roku. One of your first stops should be Chow, which offers close to a dozen series, with individual videos ranging in length from less than a minute to 15 minutes or more. Most are around two to five minutes, though, so don't expect half- to full-hour episodes like you get on the Food Network.Pages
