New films this month include Charlie Chan in The Golden Eye, In this 1948 production, the owner of an Arizona gold mine tells Chan that someone is out to murder him. Chan poses as a tourist at a nearby dude ranch and sets out to investigate.

Also new on Pub-d-Hub is "Murder at Glen Athol", in which a detective gets involved with gangsters, blackmail and murder at a party at an elegant mansion.

In the 1930 film "Back Door to Heaven" a slum kid ends up in reform school and then spends much of his life in prison.
