Your Independent TV Streamer Guide

Netflix

Netflix Quick Look: The original movie streaming service, Netflix offers a large library of movies and TV shows, from recent releases through classics of Hollywood's Golden Era, for a single monthly fee. Netflix excels at recommending titles based on what you've previously watched, especially if you take the time to rate each video after viewing. You'll find videos listed under "Top Picks for [Your Name]" and, for titles that you recently watched, "Because you watched..."

Netflix offers a queue of shows you want to watch in the future, keeps a list of your recent viewings, and tracks your progress through TV series so you never have to search for the next episode. Browsing is offered in the usual genres (Dramas, Documentaries, Horror, Sci-Fi, etc.) as well as under highly-specific categories that include "Popular on Facebook", "Emmy-winning TV Comedies", and "Violent Suspenseful Action Thrillers". You can also add to and edit your watch list from the Netflix website.

If you have multiple Netflix viewers in your household and would like to set up multiple watch lists so each viewer can have their own list, check out the MultiQs app for Roku.
