DoPE 45

Quick Look: DoPE stands for Department of Presidential Exchange - not a real governmental department, of course, but a parody. DoPE 45 is a planned show that will cover the President Trump's tweets. The Roku channel currently has only a 10-minute behind-the-scenes video that discussed the show's premise: Analyze Trump's most recent tweet and in four minutes interpret it and put it into historical perspective showing how it relates to history with a comedic perspective.

The Roku channel states that the show was to start airing on Roku on February 14, but as of February 16 we still have only the one behind-the-scenes video. The DoPE 45 website says "Coming in March," though, so stay tuned.

-- Information is current as of February 15, 2017

Developer's Channel Description: In 1829, Andrew Jackson became the 7th President of the United States. As a result Congress formed a secret department, the Department of Presidential Exchange, to ensure the new President would not be a threat. DoPE remained unneeded for over 100 years--until 2016.
