Quick Look: This game is for amusement only - there are no actual payouts. The Poppin Casino game was originally released as an app for Android and iOS. The game is now available for the Roku for a one time purchase price of $1.99. There are actually two games in one here; the Slots game plays like a traditional slot machine and there is a "matching game" that I am still trying to figure out.
You begin the Slot game with $10,000 "coins" to start your game play. You also have the option to purchase additional coins from the game store should you run out, but you will be charged for purchasing additional coins. To play slots, first you pick how many lines you want to play (1-30) and the amount you want to bet per line. You can bet up to 100 coins/line and with a 30 line bet you are wagering 3,000 coins. Play is like any other slot machine, you can change your bet as you go, the game keeps a running total of your winnings or losses.
I did not fully understand all of the "nuances" of the matching game. You need to clear all of the tiles in the background while connecting at least 3 similar objects. There are game strategies/tutorials available, but to be honest the best way to figure out the game is to just play it. There are way too many tricks, strategies and options available to try to explain them all. The only thing I can tell you for sure is if you want to play matching only start the game normally by clicking the big arrow in the logo, When the 30 line slot appears click on "Finish Level" to collect your matching coins. To play slots only click on "Play Slots".
The games are relatively fun and mildly habit forming; in my opinion, this is worth the $1.99. There is an annoying soundtrack that plays in the background but that can be muted as can the slots and match game sound effects.
