AOL Reality Series The pilot episode of "Connected," a new reality show from AOL, will be available exclusively to Roku users starting Tuesday, March 24. The half-hour reality show features six New Yorkers who document their lives using handheld camcorders.

Sling TVLaunched only last month, Dish Network's Sling TV is already revamping it's channel offerings by adding new channels, reorganizing its premium add-on packages, and expanding its video-on-demand library. Although Dish hasn't revealed any subscriber numbers, only describing early results as "encouraging," it appears that more cable TV networks want in on the action.

ABC News - Now Streaming Live on RokuABC has long been a laggard among TV networks in offering content through smart TVs and streaming media players. That changed today with the launch of the ABC News channel on Roku. ABC News offers multiple live streams (no authentication required!) along with a large video on demand library.

The Doors - Free Documentaries on Qello ConcertsQello Concerts is offering a free show every weekend through April 5. This weekend, March 13 - March 15, watch The Doors - No One Here Gets Out Alive: A Tribute to Jim Morrison. Originally released as a home video in 1981 and re-released on VHS and DVD-Video more than 20 years later, the film features key players in Jim Morrison's life, including surviving Doors members Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger, and John Densmore1. A good amount of performance footage is also included in this one-hour production, along with interviews with Morrison.

Operator of Private Roku Channel Nick Reboot Sued by ViacomAt least one media company is taking a get-tough approach to unauthorized streaming of their video productions. Media giant Viacom, owner of Paramount Pictures and cable television staples that include Spike, TV Land, CMT, MTV, and VH1 - as well as Nickelodeon and Comedy Central - has sued the owner of the website, which operated the private Roku channels Nick Reboot and Cartoon Network Reboot.

Target Closes Target Ticket Streaming Video ServiceAfter only 18 months, discount retailer Target has canceled its Target Ticket streaming video service. Launched in Fall 2013, the service allowed users to rent or purchase movies and TV shows, attempting to compete with other pay-as-you-go services like Blockbuster On Demand, Vudu, and M-GO.
