Quick Look: TVQue promises to let you send photos, videos, and music, to any Roku running the TVQue channel. However, the channel is poorly documented, has a horrible user interface, and is quite buggy.
To get started, you will need to link your Roku to a TVQue account. Start by selecting the top-center icon (see the screenshot below). Visit www.tvque.com/reg and enter the code shown on your screen. Yes, the code is oddly formed and is in the format 3@1zk9. Enter the full string. You will also need to enter a valid e-mail address and a password unless you elect to register using your Facebook account. Check your e-mail, click on the validation link, and the Roku channel should refresh with a welcome message.
Once this is done, you can return to the TVQue.com website and click on the link to "Add photos, videos, music..." and select the file you wish to send. You can add any Roku-supported file types. From the same window, add the e-mail address you registered with, or to send to a friend who uses TVQue, enter their e-mail address. Click the Mail to Friends TV button after the file uploads and processes.
Now return to the Roku channel, where the top left icon on the channel's home screen should show the number of files that you have received. Click on the icon and the files will display.
Other than the settings and received files options, the TVQue home screen is just links to other videos. Scroll left for videos in other categories, which include Travel, Vlogs, Pranks, TV Clips, and many other categories. Assuming you want to watch these videos, browsing is very difficult as you must scroll through one category at a time and wait for the screen to fill with icons that give little if any indication of the content. Even when you select a video, it starts playing with no information on what you're watching.
TVQue takes the award for the worst user interface on a Roku channel. If you want to watch random videos from the Web, there are literally thousands of Roku channels where the content is much easier to find. If you want to send your own media to your Roku, there are much better options available in the Personal Media and Photo Apps categories.
