RealPlayer Cloud

RealPlayer CloudRokuGuide Quick Look: The RealPlayer Cloud offers another way to watch your own videos on your Roku-connected TV. Create an account on the RealPlayer Cloud website, then log into the account and upload videos. After linking your Roku to your account, your uploaded videos will be available through this Roku app and on other devices.

Why use RealPlayer Cloud instead of Vimeo or one of several other apps that stream your videos to your Roku? According to a RealNetworks press release, RealPlayer Cloud lets users perform these additional functions:

  • Move their videos across their devices, to watch them on any device they choose.
  • Stream or download their videos locally for convenient on-the-go access.
  • Watch their videos on their TV.
  • Share their long videos directly from their phone, PC or tablet to whatever device their friends happen to have, with no app download required by their friends.
  • Securely store their videos in the cloud.

Users are provided with 2 GB of free space, with additional storage starting at $5 per month for 25 GB, and maxing out at $30 per month for 300 GB. Create your RealPlayer Cloud account here.
