AllConnect

Quick Look: The AllConnect Roku channel works in conjunction with the free AllConnect app on your Android smartphone or tablet to stream music, photos, and videos from a variety of sources to your Roku. With AllConnect, your phone acts as a universal controller, letting you cast media from cloud storage, media servers, and online channels to your Roku-connected TV, as well as all AirPlay, DIAL, DLNA and Google Cast devices.

In addition to this free Roku channel, you will need to download the free AllConnect App from the Google Play Store. There is no need to link your Roku with the app as is required with other casting apps. As long as your mobile device is on the same home network as your Roku, the AllConnect App will find your Roku.

Just open the AllConnect Roku channel, then open the AllConnect mobile app. Select a Roku to cast to, then select a source and select the media file you want to cast. In addition to the music, video, and photos on your phone or tablet, you can cast files to your Roku from your home computer (if it has a compatible media server), networked storage, Dropbox, Facebook, and online channels YouTube, TED, and Vimeo (online channels require that you have their app installed on your mobile device).

More information on using AllConnect with your Roku and other devices is available in our article Connect All of Your Content and Devices with AllConnect.
