Sci Fi TV

Sci Fi TV carries a number of public domain films and several vintage serial films in the following categories:

  • The Original Flash Gordon - The first category in this Roku channel is misnamed. You won't find Flash Gordon, but there are a dozen films, including Battle of the Worlds (1961), in which a runaway asteroid dubbed "The Outsider" mysteriously begins orbiting the Earth and threatens it with lethal flying saucers; and Bride of the Gorilla (1951), about a plantation owner in the jungle who marries a beautiful woman and is soon plagued by a strange voodoo curse which transforms him into a gorilla.
  • The Lost City - A 12-chapter film serial from 1935 in which a scientist Gordon visits a secluded area in Africa after concluding that a series of electrically induced natural disasters had originated from the area. There he finds the crazed Zolok, last of the Lemurians, in a secret complex inside a mountain.
  • Radar Men from the Moon A 1952 Republic Pictures 12-chapter serial featuring Commando Cody, a civilian researcher and inventor who uses a streamlined helmet and an atomic-powered rocket backpack attached to a leather flying jacket.
  • S O S Coast Guard - Another 12-chapter serial from Republic, this one from 1937. The mad scientist Boroff (played by Bela Lugosi) attempts to sell a superweapon to the highest bidder but is opposed by Coast Guard Lieutenant Terry Kent for both personal and professional reasons.

Additional films are found in the categories of Classic Movies, Cult Sci-Fi, and a few others.

The channel appears to be an amateur production. Their is no film information other than a title, all videos have the same thumbnail, and as mentioned above, at least one of the categories is improperly names. Still, if any of the films or serials on this app interest you, their is no reason not to watch them here.
