The premise of the game is for players to create a "Champion" with unique abilities. These champions band together, creating a team that battles against other teams. The objective is to destroy the other team's "Nexus", a building which is heavily guarded and protected by defensive structures.

With the popularity of this game exploding (currently 27 million daily players), there have been several tournaments formed to further promote the game with a grand prize of $1 million dollars.
