Endangered Screens: Flowers

Quick Look: This screensaver does what it's supposed to do: it cycles through several images when your Roku is idle. The images are still-life photos of flower arrangements. That really isn't my thing, but many people like those types of photos. Personally, I thought they resembled stock images that you would find on a Hallmark sympathy card, but I never claim to have good taste.

What I really found disappointing was the quality of the images. Pixelation was very apparent in the photos, as if the photo resolution was too low for an HD television screen. I use the Flickr and Picasa Web Albums channels to display my own photos, and they come through in higher definition than the photos on the Endangered Screens screensaver, so I know the Roku is capable of displaying high-quality photos. The quality isn't horrible, and you're not likely to sit in front of the TV watching your screensaver, but the photos definitely lack any sort of "wow" factor.

As for options, you can set how long your Roku is idle before the screensaver activates, and you can set the timing of the photos to either 30 seconds or 1 minute.

Developer's Channel Description: Endangered Screens provides beautiful, simple screen savers to brighten the room when you're not watching Roku.
