Amazon announced on Thursday that its Amazon Instant Video service now offers more than 100,000 movie and TV titles, with over 9,000 of those videos available to Amazon Prime customers at no extra cost. Newly-added titles include The Tudors, the entire Star Trek franchise, Cheers, Frasier, Numb3rs, and Medium.
Amazon videos can be rented or purchased over the Amazon Instant Video channel on Roku at prices starting at $3.99, with no subscription required. Amazon Prime membership, which includes free 2-day shipping on Amazon merchandise in addition to free access to over 9,000 movies and TV episodes, is available for $79 per year, with a one-month free trial.
