The Best Roku Channels for HalloweenRoku's US customers now have access to the Deezer streaming music service with more than 43 million on-demand music tracks from record labels that include EMI, Sony, Universal Music Group, and Warner Music Group. Similar to Spotify, the European-based Deezer allows unlimited streaming and the ability to select any song. Deezer was previously available on Roku only in Europe, and will soon be available to Roku users in Latin American countries as well.

Roku refreshes its media player lineupRoku this week announced that their latest firmware, OS 8, will begin rolling out to Roku players early this month and to Roku TVs in November. Highlights of OS 8 include integration of over-the-air broadcast TV with streaming content on Roku TVs, enhanced search and voice control, TV Everywhere single sign-on to eliminate having to enter login credentials multiple times, and an updated 4K Spotlight Channel.

Roku refreshes its media player lineup

Roku announced updates to its streaming media players this week. The Fall 2017 models offer faster processors and other enhancements, while two models were dropped from the lineup. Some models have advanced remotes that will now operate the power and sound volume on compatible TV sets.
