Roku adds 25 live linear TV channels to The Roku ChannelRoku has expanded its free live linear TV channel lineup on The Roku Channel with the addition of 25 new channels, including FOX Weather and channels dedicated to popular shows that include "Ice Road Truckers," "Ax Men," "Modern Marvels," "The Price is Right," and "Project Runway." You'll also find new kids channels such as "Bob the Builder."

Roku has removed all private channelsFollowing through on an earlier announcement, Roku, Inc. has removed all non-certified (aka "private") channels from Roku devices as the company implements two new developer features, beta channels and the Independent Developer Kit (IDK). Unfortunately for many Roku users, neither of these are able to take the place of the old private channels, which allowed developers to distribute content to unlimited numbers of users, as discussed below.
