The Whistler

Quick Look: The Whistler is a U.S. television anthology mystery series that aired on CBS from 1954 to 1955, continuing from a long-running radio show and a series of films. According to Television Obscurities, "Bill Forman served as narrator for The Whistler, continuing the role he had played on radio. Each episode had a new cast; guests stars included King Donovan, Charles McGraw, Irene Ryan, John Hoyt, Arthur Franz, Craig Stevens, Lon Chaney, Ellen Corby, Art Gilmore, Dorothy Green, Harry Lewis and Maureen O’Sullivan. Episodes involved blackmail, murder, con men, missing persons and other unsavory goings-on."
