The Stage Network

Quick Look: The Stage Network bills itself as "the world's first streaming network for premium content from and about the live-theater world." In addition to Broadway performances, the channel offers documentaries, feature films, and TV & Web series.

All content on the Roku channel is marked as locked if you aren't a subscriber, but behind those locked selections you'll find free previews, and some of the videos are actually available during what Stage calls "our preview period." A couple of examples of currently-free content include "Broadway Idiot," a documentary about Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong that follows him from a punk rock concert to the opening of his musical "American Idiot," and "Hamlet," a 3-hour film version of the production at Manchester's Royal Exchange Theatre. Fees are listed below. Note the vast difference in the free trial length depending on how you subscribe, but also be aware that the login screen was not working properly at the time of our review. Under "sign in to your account" was "". A linking code was provided, but no information on where to enter it.

In addition to Roku, The Stage Network is available on iPhone, AppleTV, and Android devices.
