Quick Look: Talisman Prologue brings the epic board game Talisman to your television. The object of the game is to reach the Crown of Command and eliminate your fellow players.
To get started in this game you are dealt a character card with your predetermined base abilities (Strength, Craft, Gold, Lives). As the game progresses your abilities go up with successful encounters. The board is comprised of three regions: outer, middle, and inner. You start off the game working around the outer perimeter of the board; these encounters are used to build up your abilities. As you win more encounters your abilities are raised and you gain more spells, lives, followers and gold.
Movement is determined by the role of a die and additional movement can be influenced by spells or special abilities. Movement can be clockwise or counterclockwise. When you land on space you must complete the encounter before you can move on. As your abilities rise you move to the next region where you continue to build up your character.
In this region the encounters become more challenging, so wait until you are powerful enough to handle the battles. The game is finally completed when a character reaches the innermost region, THE CROWN OF COMMAND. From this region the character roles a die and tries to eliminate his fellow adventurers.
A very detailed explanation of the game can be found at Talisman Game Play, which will give a better explanation of game rules and strategy. The game is won when there is only one adventurer remaining.
The initial release of this game is single player only, expansion packs are promised.
