Quick Look: Propel Man is an arcade-style game originally built for iOS and Android mobile devices. The objective of the game is to launch the onscreen figure from a catapult and land him at the farthest possible distance.
Game play sounds similar to Angry Birds, but instead of pulling the catapult and releasing, you first set the catapult force, then set the catapult angle, then press the remote's OK button to launch. Press again to open the flying man's parachute so he can land safely. Although my remote works just fine for Angry Birds and many other games, the pointing system could be very finicky on this game. Getting the onscreen cursor where I wanted it wasn't always easy, and was sometimes downright frustrating.
Additional features of the game include the ability to purchase items to aid in game play. As you gain points, you get additional money to buy more items. Rockets, for example, will let you fly faster. Also available are upgraded suites and catapult and parachute options. Proper Man also gives you the option to set up more than one profile, recognizing the fact that not every Roku owner has a one-player household.
